A drone attack on Saturday caused a gigantic fire in Crimea annexed by Moscow and occupied cities were bombed. The fire broke out at an oil depot in Sevastopol, the home port of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in Crimea.

“A fire is underway in an oil depot in Kazatchia Bay (…). According to initial information, it was caused by a drone attack,” Sevastopol governor Mikhail Razvojayev wrote on Telegram, stressing that “no one was injured.” Sixty firefighters were dispatched to the scene to fight the fire which is raging over an area of ​​approximately 1,000 m2. “The situation is under control”, assured the leader, affirming that “the civil infrastructures are not threatened”.

Quoted by the public news agency Ria Novosti, he then clarified that a total of four oil tanks had been damaged and “burned”. The Kremlin, however, made no comment on the attack.
