Dropbox cloud storage introduced limitation On the Dropbox Advanced Unlimited Enterprise Plan, users will be able to store up to 15 TB of data per three users starting November 1st. The company did this due to abuse, as a result of which more than 35 TB of cloud space was occupied on some accounts.

Dropbox believes that unlimited plans are often used for cryptocurrency mining or resale to third parties, and they can also be used by non-corporate customers for personal purposes. At its current price of $24 per license, Dropbox is operating at a loss — maintaining 35 TB of data storage costs the company $805 per month.

Customers with less than 35 TB per license can continue to use the service and even receive an additional 5 TB. Those who have exceeded the 35 TB limit will have to give an explanation, after which they will be given an additional 5 TB. The service also allowed downloading up to 20 GB of data and 100,000 files per day.
