Kochi ∙ Big drug hunt again in the city. The youth was caught with 2.65 kg of hashish oil from ESI hospital near Ernakulam North railway station. Sujil and Ansal, natives of Panangad, were arrested. The police operation is in collaboration with the narcotics unit of the city police. The police said that hashish oil bought from Andhra Pradesh and brought to Kochi for distribution was recovered from them.
The police have been monitoring the youths who are under surveillance in connection with drug dealing since they left for Andhra. Malabar Express was expected to alight at Ernakulam South Station. The police had laid a trap for them at Ernakulam South and North railway stations.
After catching the train at Ernakulam North Station, it was decided to get off at South. Both got down from the back of the train and were caught when they came to the ESI side instead of coming to the station.
