Abu Dhabi police have arrested four people for trying to smuggle intoxicating pills. Police seized 600,000 captagon guns hidden inside construction materials.

Abu Dhabi police said in a statement that the suspects were of Arab descent. The drugs were seized while being smuggled into the country. The suspects were nabbed by police in an operation dubbed ‘Poisonous Stones’. Brigadier General Tahir al-Dahiri, head of the anti-narcotics unit, said the suspects smuggled the drugs under the guise of stones used in construction. Maj. Gen. Mohammed al-Rashidi, the director of criminal security at Abu Dhabi Police, said the authorities had implemented a system that integrated strategies to detect drug trafficking and apprehend suspects.
