Drugged grandmother to steal jewelry and underwear in Tlalpan

A woman was arrested for allegedly drugging an elderly woman to steal jewelry y underwear from his home, in the mayor’s office Tlalpan.

The incident was recorded after officers from the capital’s Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) received a report of an unconscious person in a home located on Navajos Street.

At the scene, a 76-year-old woman was diagnosed by paramedics with an allergic reaction to unknown substances, so she was transferred to a hospital for specialized medical care.

According to statements from one of her relatives, the woman was found unconscious inside her room after entering her home accompanied by a friend, who later left the house with a plastic bag containing various objects.

The officers intercepted the 63-year-old suspect and when they checked the contents of the bag they found various pieces of jewelry, a watch, a cell phone and underwear, the SSC said.

Given the family’s intention to take legal action against her, the woman was arrested and brought before the corresponding public prosecutor, who will be in charge of defining her legal situation.
