KUWAIT CITY: Interior Minister has warned to be careful about drug smuggling into Kuwait. The Home Minister also stated that a nationwide campaign will be conducted against drug addiction. Sheikh Talal said that utmost vigilance should be maintained against attempts to smuggle drugs through the sea border. He was visiting the Sabah Al Ahmed Coast Guard Base the other day. A strict inspection is being carried out to prevent the delivery of intoxicating substances in the country.
Checks at airports and seaports have been stepped up to catch drug smuggling. Under the leadership of the Home Minister, high-ranking officers directly lead the drug tests. Sheikh Talal praised the efforts of the Border Guards to use the latest technology to protect the security of the country. Sheikh Talal inspected the constructions at the Coast Guard base and commissioned eight rapid intervention ships and 11 interception patrols.
