Drunk Girl Breaks Piano and Steals Money from Street Performer in Viral Video
Athens, Georgia – A street performer in Athens, Georgia suffered significant losses after a drunken girl broke his piano stand and stole some of his tip money. The incident was captured in a viral video posted on TikTok.
The video, posted by user @theandrewshoe, shows Shauntae Heard approaching the performer’s setup and slamming the keys on his piano before leaving. She then returns, slams the keyboard again, causing it to fall to the ground. Taking advantage of the chaos, Heard secretly steals some of the performer’s tip money and runs off. The video also shows Heard’s friends laughing in the background and allegedly encouraging her behavior.
In a voiceover, the performer, Andrew Husu, expresses his shock and disappointment, stating, “This is probably one of the worst things somebody’s probably ever done to me while street performing.”
After Heard pushed the keyboard to the ground, Andrew confronts her, questioning her actions. Upon realizing she stole his money, Andrew shouts at her as she flees the scene. Witnesses then come to Andrew’s aid, helping him pick up his keyboard and set it up again. One kind person even tipped him generously to compensate for the stolen money.
The video quickly went viral, amassing three million views on TikTok and being shared on various social media platforms. Viewers were able to identify Heard and began attacking her online. The relentless attacks prompted Heard to issue an apology on her Facebook and Instagram accounts. Screenshots of the apology are currently circulating on social media.
In her apology, Heard stated, “I’m sorry to everyone that has seen the viral video. I have taken accountability for my actions.” However, her apology was met with criticism for its lack of genuineness and her attempt to minimize her fault by comparing her actions to other incidents downtown.
Andrew Husu accepted Heard’s apology and even communicated with her through Facebook Messenger. He acknowledged the consequences of her actions but urged others not to harass her.
The incident serves as a reminder that actions have consequences and highlights the power of social media in holding individuals accountable for their behavior.
