A young man was arrested on Saturday for kissing an old woman under the influence of alcohol in Koothanallur, Thiruvarur district.
Next to Koothanallur is Velukudi, Palamelkudi Mariamman Koil Street Chondav Thangavel. His wife is Maryai (70). Eva was walking near the temple on Friday afternoon. Then Vignesh (29), a laborer who came to the same area under the influence of alcohol, hugged and kissed Maria.
Mariayi filed a complaint at Koothanallur police station. The police arrested Vignesh on Saturday and produced him before the Thiruvarur Additional Women’s Court.
