No other people were found in the destroyed house and the neighboring house is apparently not damaged. Firefighters, who intervened on the scene together with rescuers and police officers, reported this on Twitter. The cause of the explosion is not yet known.
“We also called the energy department to the scene, but we do not yet know the cause of the explosion,” Jaroslav Mikoška, spokesman for the South Moravian fire department, told ČTK.
After 10:00 p.m., the fire department announced on Twitter that they had completed the search of the house and found no other people at the scene of the explosion, apart from the rescued dead person. Rescue spokeswoman Michaela Bothová told ČTK that no one was treated at the scene of the explosion.
