So DS is slowly working its way into the minds of German drivers as a brand. Founded seven years ago as DS Automobiles, it is increasingly breaking away from Citroën, whose legendary model DS (colloquially the goddess) was the namesake, also because the models are becoming more and more independent. This started with the DS 7 Crossback presented in 2017, which came onto the market as the first in-house development in spring 2018. After four years, the SUV is now being revised and is giving up the cumbersome nickname Crossback, it’s simply called DS 7.
The only pure petrol engine on offer to date is also being shelved, and from autumn the DS 7 will only be available as a diesel with a displacement of 1.5 liters and 130 hp or as a plug-in hybrid. There are now three variants of this, as before, the E-Tense 225 and the E-Tense 300, with the numbers referring to the horsepower of the motor combination with electrical technology and a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine. The more powerful version has all-wheel drive with an electric motor on the front and rear axles.
Now the E-Tense 360 joins them, which also has all-wheel drive, but by no means 360 hp, but also 300. However, the system characteristics are different, it goes from 0 to 100 in 5.7 seconds and not in 5.9, the Top speed is 250, not 240 km/h. The diesel manages 190 km/h, the front-wheel drive, weaker plug-in 225 km/h. All three plug versions have a 14.2 kWh battery, which, according to the standard, enables an electric range of around 60 kilometers. It can be charged with a maximum of 7.4 kWh.

The 360 comes with 21-inch rims, only for him the special version La Première is offered, for which ultimately 71,490 euros have to be paid. There are five other trim lines, from Bastille to Opéra. The entry-level price for the Bastille diesel is 42,490 euros, the cheapest all-wheel drive model costs 54,790 euros. All have an eight-speed automatic and, following the brand claim, are equipped with high quality and extravagant. The infotainment has been revised and, as is usual with a facelift, the body has been retouched and is now 4.59 meters long. The trunk volume is 555 liters as before. The order books have been open for six days.
