Tirupur: In the ongoing DSC Challenger Trophy cricket match in Tirupur, Kerala and Andhra team won yesterday.
On behalf of Tirupur School of Cricket, the ninth annual DSC, Challenger Trophy cricket tournament for under-16s will be held at Wires Sports Cricket Ground in Murukampalayam till 21st.
Kerala team shuffle
In the first match yesterday morning, Kerala RSC – SG, Cricket School team and Maharashtra Cricket Next Academy team clashed. Batting first, Maharashtra scored 144 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 30 overs. Ansh Sharma added 42 runs.
Set for an easy target, the Kerala team scored 145 runs in 15.3 overs and won by 10 wickets. Armaan Hakim was selected as the man of the match after scoring 110 runs for the team’s victory.
Andhra team is great
In another match, Andhra Coaching Beyond and Andhra Anantapur Cricket Academy clashed.
Coaching Beyond, who fielded first, scored 169 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 30 overs. Ronit Narayana took 61.
The Anantapur team, who set out for a tough target, lost all their wickets and scored only 137 runs in 24.4 overs. Andhra Coaching Beyond won by 32 runs. Ronit Narayana who scored 61 runs was selected as the man of the match.
