According to him, relying on a cyber security system is not enough to guarantee data security.
“In addition to paying attention to cyber security, it is also necessary to emphasize cyber resilience (cyber resilience),” said Paulus Miki in his press release, Tuesday (23/7).
He explained that the essence of cyber resilience is to ensure that if an attack occurs, the system must be able to recover and operate normally within a short time.
Paulus highlighted the PDNS incident that befell Kominfo some time ago.
He said the incident was an example of a cybersecurity tragedy that had an impact on public services.
Therefore, all sectors, be it small, medium, large businesses, or government, must adopt the right and comprehensive security paradigm. “So that similar incidents do not happen again,” he said.
According to her, cyber resilience becomes very important because it involves risk management, emergency response planning, backup, and recovery.
Many parties rely heavily on cyber security or technology-based cyber security to prevent hacking by irresponsible people.
