Dubai: The Dubai Events Insurance Committee has announced that it has completed all formalities to secure the 2022 New Year celebrations. It is based on a smart plan prepared by the Dubai Police and the Road and Transport Authority (RTA). As part of the project, 10,000 CCTV cameras have been installed to reduce traffic congestion and monitor roads.

The committee said the city’s traffic and visitor traffic would be regulated through the RTA’s Unified Control Center. Major General Abdullah, chairman of the Dubai-based Events Insurance Committee and director general of the Organizations, Facilities and Emergency Security Department, said that as part of the New Year celebrations, a comprehensive security plan has been drawn up to secure tourist areas, shopping malls and transportation.

Al Ghaiti added that the committee has set up all human and technical capabilities to make the journey comfortable and convenient for all visitors in the exhibition areas. In addition to maintaining physical distance, he stressed the need to take precautionary measures and wear masks in closed and open areas.
