Dubai police are seeking the help of the public to identify an unidentified body. The body was found in the sea between the Palm Jumeirah and the Burj Al Arab Hotel.
An Asian can be forty years of age or older. He was seen wearing a blue t-shirt and black shorts. There were no identification documents in his purse. The body is being kept at the police mortuary. Authorities said anyone identifying the body should contact the Dubai Police call center. No.- 04-901.
The woman was convicted of suffocating a baby 15 minutes after giving birth
Dubai court has sentenced a 28-year-old woman to seven years in prison for strangling her baby to death within minutes of giving birth. The baby’s body was kept for three days and then dumped in the trash. The court also ordered the girl to be deported from the UAE after serving her sentence.
A young man who lived in the woman’s apartment next door gave police information leading to their arrest. He said he heard the woman’s screams a few days ago and that it may have been during childbirth. Three days later, he saw the young woman in the hallway of the building. Then they had a bag in their hand.
When the woman told him to leave the bag somewhere, he bought the bag saying he could help. After the woman went to her residence, he inspected the bag and found the baby’s body among the clothes. He informed the police. Police arrived at the scene and arrested the woman within minutes.
The woman testified that she had an extramarital affair and became pregnant from it. The baby was suffocated with a pillow shortly after birth at his residence in Al Rigga. The suffocation continued from the crying until the baby died. The body was kept at the residence for the next three days. She said she later tried to leave the bag covered with bed sheets. The trial court then completed the trial and handed down the sentence.
