Dubai: In 2025, Dubai will host the world’s largest museum conference. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, made the announcement on Saturday. Sheikh Mohammed announced on Twitter that Dubai will host the 27th International Council of Museums (ICOM) General Conference in 2025.

This is the first International Council of Museums General Conference to be held in the Middle East. At least 119 countries are expected to attend the conference. It will house 20,000 international museums. Sheikh Mohammed added that this victory would give a strong impetus to the cultural sector of the country.
