Due to failures in the supply of electricity, 19 Simas Torreón pumps go out of operation

The Municipal Water and Sanitation System of Torreón (Simas) reported that as a result of the failure registered in the supply of electrical energy by the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), and that affected various areas of the city this afternoon, saw the operation of 19 bombs of the organization violated, in addition to its Matríz building located on Independencia boulevard.

Pumps 12, 89, 42R, 72, 31, 16R, 35, 36, 29, 85, 84, 50Z, 68, 21R, 30, 18R, 91, 19R, and 70R were affected.

Due to the above, different neighborhoods in the center and west of the city were left without a drinking water supply.

Raymundo Rodríguez de la Torre, technical manager of Simas, explained that paramunicipal personnel are working at the different affected points, managing to put 5 of the affected pumps into operation.

He mentioned that the process of reactivating the pumps lasts approximately 6 hours, during which time the drinking water service remains suspended.

The official assured that as the electricity service is restored in the other points, the other remaining pumps will be put into operation, so the time to restore the drinking water service will be different for each area.
