Due to lack of funding, the National Speedball Team is camping in Dohuk in preparation for the World Championship

The Iraqi Central Speedball Federation is looking forward to releasing its financial allocations for the purpose of completing the necessary preparations for the national team in preparation for participating in the World Cup competitions, which are scheduled to be held at the end of next October in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

A statement by the game’s federation received by the (INA) today, Thursday, stated that “the national team will currently be satisfied with preparing an internal training camp to be held in Dohuk Governorate, due to the lack of financial allocations,” noting that “if the necessary funds are available, the federation will work to intensify preparations for the World Championship by holding an external camp in the Turkish city of Istanbul next October before the start of the World Championship in Egypt.”

He added, “The Federation intends to open two new sub-federations in Basra and Muthanna governorates, bringing the total number of sub-federations to 18 in the various governorates of the country.”
