/ The management of the Dohuk Club announced, on Thursday, its adherence to its football team coach, Suleiman Ramadan, and its rejection of his resignation.

The club’s media coordinator, Haval Al-Barifkani, told Agency that the club’s management decided in its meeting to reject the resignation of coach Suleiman Ramadan, which he submitted due to the team’s recent negative results.

He added that the administration promised to implement all requirements for the coach’s success, including paying the players’ overdue payments.

He pointed out that Suleiman agreed to return and withdrew his resignation to continue leading the team during the Iraq Stars League competitions.

He explained that Dohuk football coach Suleiman Ramadan will lead the team during its next match against Al-Naft Club, denying coach Suleiman’s insistence on resigning as reported in a number of media outlets and social networking sites.

Duhok Club is in ninth place with 11 points after the end of the eighth round of the Iraq Stars League competitions.

It is noteworthy that Ramadan’s resignation came after Dohuk’s harsh loss to Al-Talaba in the eighth round with a score of 3-1. Suleiman attributed the negative results to the financial hardship that the team is going through and the failure to receive financial dues for more than three months.
