Asia’s apex body of sports journalists- ‘AIPS Asia’ honored Mahmud Hossain Khan Dulal, editor of the fortnightly Krirajagat magazine, with the ‘Legend of AIPS Asia Award’.
Six prominent sports journalists from Asia were honored for their lifetime achievements at the AIPS Asia Congress in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu this Friday (September 13) evening. The other five are from Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, India and Nepal.
This is the second time this award has been given. Famous sports journalists from different countries will be awarded this honor periodically. AIPS vice president Yon Daraj handed over the award to Dulal Mahmud, former president of Bangladesh Sports Writers Association.
Sanat Babla, Kazi Shahidul Alam, Saman Hossain and Sudipta Anand participated in AIPS Asia Congress from Bangladesh.
AIPS Congress started in Kathmandu last Wednesday (September 11). Pulsar Sports Awards organized by Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) was held on the second day of the Congress. In this event, along with Nepalese sports personalities, six senior sports journalists of Asia were recognized for their work. Dulal Mahmud of Bangladesh is one of them.
In addition, Hong Kong Sports Journalists Forum was awarded as the best organization of 2023 at the event. It should be noted that Bangladesh was recognized as the best organization in 2022.
