Bengaluru: The first match of Duleep Trophy 2024 is being played between India A and India B at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This match was won by India B, captained by Abhimanyu Easwaran. India B managed to win the match by 76 runs. The hero of this match was Mushir Khan for India B, who played a brilliant innings of 181 runs in the first innings. Mushir was also awarded the Player of the Match award. However, India’s experienced wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant also impressed everyone with his batting and wicketkeeping while playing for India B in this match. Actually, in the second innings of India A, the 51st over was bowled by fast bowler Navdeep Saini from India B’s side. On the fourth ball of the over, Avesh Khan was on strike. Navdeep bowled a short ball towards Avesh’s body, which Avesh wanted to hit behind the wicket by hitting it lightly with the bat. But when he played the shot, the ball was not far from the wicketkeeper. In such a situation, Pant took a wonderful catch by diving towards his opposite hand. Avesh was thus out after scoring just 3 runs.
Rishabh Pant hit a stormy fifty
In the first innings, Rishabh Pant was out after scoring just 7 runs. But in the second innings, his bat spoke loudly. He scored runs at a fast pace and also hit a stormy fifty. Pant completed his fifty in just 34 balls. Rishabh batted at a strike rate of 129 and scored 61 runs with the help of 9 fours and 2 sixes.
