This is Dulquer Salmaan’s third Bollywood film

Dulquer’s third Hindi film is all set to hit the theaters this Friday. Sunny Deol also plays an important role in the film titled Chhup: Revenge of an Artist. The psychological thriller film is written and directed by R Balki. Although the theatrical release was on 23rd, a section of the audience got a chance to watch the film in theaters today. It was a free preview prepared by the crew themselves. Usually critics, filmmakers and others get invited to such previews, but the crew reserved those seats for the audience only. The first comments after the first such previews have started coming out on social media.
The film and Dulquer’s performance in it are getting rave reviews. A viewer named Supratim Sengupta notes that Chhup is the best Hindi film he has ever seen. A thrilling and gripping experience. A concept that is very relevant and characteristic today. Dulquer Salmaan took the stage with a magnificent performance, noted Supratim. Even after the previews in several cities, similar comments are circulating on Twitter. Those who say that the film is good are also praising Dulquer’s performance.

Balki is directing a thriller film for the first time. R Balki is a director who gained attention with films such as Cheeni Come, Paa, Shamitabh, Ki and Ka and Pad Man. The director had earlier said that the film is being prepared as a tribute to Guru Dutt, who was a prominent Bollywood director and actor. The title of the film was announced on Guru Dutt’s death anniversary. Cinematography is by Vishal Sinha and the music is composed by Amit Trivedi. Produced by Gauri Shinde, R Balki and Rakesh Jhunjhunwala.
This is Dulquer Salmaan’s third Bollywood film. Dulquer’s Bollywood debut was the road comedy drama film ‘Karwan’ (2018) opposite Irrfan Khan. The next year, Abhishek Sharma directed ‘The Soya Factor’ in which Dulquer played the role of Indian cricket team captain ‘Nikhil Khoda’.
Chhup is Dulquer’s release after the Telugu film Sita Ram. Sita Ram is a very successful movie in theaters. The Hindi version of the film, which earned 75 crores from the South Indian versions alone, was released more than a month ago. The Hindi version was also well received in theatres. If Chhup also wins, it will give Dulquer a big boost in his career.
