Detectives have launched a search for a motorist who failed to stop after hitting a child on a pedal bike in Dundee. The collision occurred at approximately 18:05 on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the pedestrian crossing situated near the Kingsway Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Station on the A90 Kingsway East.

The 12-year-old victim was riding a black and blue bicycle across the road when he was struck by a black Citroën Berlingo-style vehicle traveling southbound in lane two. Following the impact at the pedestrian crossing near the Kingsway Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Station, the driver of the people carrier did not stop at the scene.

Authorities confirmed that the vehicle continued traveling toward the Scott Fyffe Roundabout. Although the child sustained injuries in the incident, police stated that he was not seriously injured.

Police Seek Witnesses to Dundee Hit-and-Run

Officers attached to Downfield Police Station are urging members of the public who may have witnessed the collision or captured relevant dashcam footage from the area around the time of the event to come forward.
