Dunkin’ Donuts Faces Closure of Multiple Locations in Switzerland

by time news

The American chain Dunkin’ Donuts seems to be struggling to maintain its operations in Switzerland. In Lausanne, a letter announcing the closure of the store has been posted on the front door since Sunday: “We thank you for your loyalty and invite you to visit one of our other locations to continue enjoying our products and services.” However, it appears that it is becoming increasingly difficult to find an open Dunkin’ Donuts store. Besides Lausanne, the branches in Fribourg, Baden (AG), and Winterthur (ZH) have also closed their doors this week.

And this is without any information being disclosed online. These branches have simply disappeared from the website. These latest closures follow those of the Schaffhausen and Zurich-Oerlikon train stations. “Blick DE” attempted to contact the chain’s representatives, but to no avail. The German-speaking daily also indicates that the site listing the stores, Storefinder, indicates that only 17 branches are open, compared to the 24 announced on the Dunkin’ Donuts website. In contrast, online orders seem to still be functioning.
