Recently, when appearing on a television show, Duong Cam Lynh opened up about her life and career. The beauty came to the acting profession very by chance: “In 1999, a friend signed me up for an exam on a program about promising actors. This friend was very passionate about art, so she prepared carefully for the exam, while At that time, I thought I could only pass one round, so I prepared a single performance, the song “Grateful to Ms. Vo Thi Sau”, but my friend failed and I made it to the next round Because I had to act, I was already thinking about going home because I didn’t prepare anything.
But by chance, teacher Phuong Soc (competition judge) passed by and saw that I had not prepared anything, so he gave me a script to practice on my own before entering the competition. Even luckier was that my fellow contestants saw that I was alone so they proactively offered to help me perform. I only had a little over an hour to practice, but when I went on stage, I put myself into the character and emotions came rushing in. After I finished performing, I saw everyone crying so much and I won the Cinema Runner-up award. But after receiving the award, I went abroad to study accounting and did nothing related to cinema.”
Duong Cam Lynh: “I’m not so bad that I was abandoned.”
The actress added: “In 2007 and 2008, when I returned to Vietnam, I was invited by Mr. Xuan Phuoc to act in my first movie. That was the role of Hong in the movie Living Life – a rich, gentle, quite girl. Similar to myself in real life. But there was a scene where I had to cry when I broke up with my lover. I was very stressed and couldn’t cry. The whole crew was tired of waiting for me. I didn’t know what to do, so I applied green oil to my eyes. I thought I wasn’t suitable to be an actor, so I decided to go to America. After a while, I returned to Vietnam and was offered another role with 120 segments. I was very pressured by everyone’s trust I asked the film crew to give me time to immerse myself in the character and then act.”
In 2023, Duong Cam Lynh continuously encountered incidents in her personal life. She admitted that she listened to her boyfriend’s advice to invest in a business but lost money. When Duong Cam Lynh just gave birth, her boyfriend left. From a sought-after actress, Duong Cam Lynh was suddenly cut from her role and was shunned by everyone: “When the incident was widely publicized, my image was tarnished, everyone was very surprised and it affected me as well.” The movie I’m filming in. She felt like she was falling into an abyss: “At that time I was very depressed, I felt like I was falling into a deep hole. At first, I was shocked by the love story, I felt like I wasn’t that bad, I was learning.” I did everything but was abandoned. Then I was caught in a debt collection video. If I had a financial problem and had my family by my side, it would be different, but I have nothing left except my small child.”
In the most difficult phase, Duong Cam Lynh received help from friends and encouragement from the audience: “I have a lot of audiences who love me. Received messages and handwritten letters from the audience.” With words of encouragement, I feel the love from the audience. I feel that everyone still loves me, those who criticize or criticize are only a few, I do not allow myself to fall The profession also supported me a lot. Everyone pooled their money and tried to convince me to accept it.”
