The rehabilitation works of the urban park The SaucedaIn their first stage, they present a progress of 90%. This project, promoted by the governor Alfonso Durazo Montañoaims to offer a free leisure and recreation space for families of Hermosillowith a total investment of 200 million pesos.
The state leader, accompanied by Paulina Ocaña Encinashead of the State Executive Office; Alejandra Castro ValenciaSecretary of Infrastructure and Urban Development (Clutch); y Roberto GradillasSecretary of Economy and Tourism, took a tour to verify the progress of the work. In this first stage, the project covers 10 hectares with new infrastructure and 14.5 hectares of trees.
The governor highlighted that, after the acquisition of the Cerro de la cement plant170 hectares have been integrated into the urban park The Saucedareaching a total of 210 hectares. This space is projected as one of the main lungs of Hermosillo over a horizon of 20 to 30 years.
“Imagine what this park will be in 10, 15, 20 or 30 years. It will be a space equivalent to Chapultepec of the Mexico City. Of course, it will not happen overnight, because trees do not grow overnight, but the idea is to make it the future lung of the capital of the state”, commented the president.
The first stage of the rehabilitation includes an outdoor forum, accesses, parking, circular modules, bathrooms and benches, as well as palapas, play areas, a kiosk, a main walkway and the rehabilitation of bathrooms. It also includes additional parking, the ethnic plaza and a wetland, with significant advances in all areas.
Durazo Montaño He announced that this year the start of the second stage of the project is planned, which will include new areas such as a hitting area, go karts, a driving school and other recreational sections.
