In the USA, Tsikhanovskaya will hold talks with the US Deputy Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy and Human Rights Uzra Zeya, the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Yury Kim, and the Deputy Administrator of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Isabelle Coleman.
Meetings with the President of Guatemala Alejandro Jamatei and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland Elina Valtanen are also planned.
This is the fourth visit of the ex-presidential candidate of Belarus to the United States. On July 28, 2021, US President Joe Biden and Tsikhanovskaya held talks in Washington. In September 2022, the democratic leader spoke at the events of the UN General Assembly. In March 2023, the democratic leader of Belarus visited the United States at the invitation of Congress.
