The British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, affirmed her country’s commitment to support the position of the Presidential Council in support of the plan of the UN envoy, Abdullah Batili, to hold parliamentary and presidential elections before the end of this year.

This came during a meeting she had today, Sunday, with the President of the Presidential Council, Muhammad al-Manfi, and the British ambassador gave a briefing on the ongoing arrangements for holding the next meeting of the 5 + 5 Joint Military Committee, after the transfer of the co-chairmanship of the Security and Military Track Committee to the United Kingdom.
