San Salvador. The Salvadoran Social Security Institute awarded recognition to three corporate clinics for their excellence in health care for their workers: the company TOTO, the Land Traffic Division of the National Civil Police and the Social Security Institute of the Armed Forces.

The recognition was given within the framework of the celebration of the IX Congress of Business Clinics that takes place from October 18th and will last until October 20th.

“Business medicine is something innovative and we have the privilege of being able to work on this mutual aid with companies to be able to provide not only reactive medicine, but also preventive medicine and reduce occupational risks,” justified the ISSS health manager, Edwin Salmerón.

With this type of conference, there is an opportunity to continue training health personnel, so that they focus on the institutional vision of transforming services and providing comprehensive care to beneficiaries.

From 2019 to date, the current government administration has enabled 46 new business clinics, which add to the more than 600,000 annual consultations attended, Salmerón added.

The IX Congress of Business Clinics began with a scientific presentation related to environmental management, given by Andrea Soto, technical director of the Salvadoran Business Council for Sustainable Development.
