Durov called iPhone owners Apple slaves

by time news

The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, said that the American corporation Apple is abusing its large weight in the market and tough non-adaptive policy towards other players, thanks to which it finds appropriate friends. In his channel, Durov posted a link to an article by The New York Times, which says that the corporation was caught in surveillance and censorship of the owners of Apple devices in China.

“Apple’s business model is based on the fact that at inflated prices to sell outdated equipment to buyers deprived of access to the outside world,” – writes Durov.

Every time he uses an iPhone to test his iOS app, he says that these devices can’t compete with Android devices in terms of efficiency.

“And the worst in all this is not even the clumsiness of gadgets and outdated updates. Owning an iPhone makes the user a slave to Apple: you can use only those applications that you are allowed to install through the App Store, and for backups you can only use iCloud,” writes Durov …

“It’s no surprise that Apple’s totalitarian approach has been appreciated by the Chinese Communist Party, which, thanks to Apple, now has full control over the apps and data of Chinese iPhone users,” he said.
