Düsseldorf Airport Announces Robust 2025/2026 Winter Flight Schedule

A comprehensive network of over 50 airlines will connect the North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) capital to approximately 130 destinations this winter,ensuring continued travel options beyond the peak season.

Düsseldorf Airport is preparing for a busy winter season, with its 2025/2026 flight schedule commencing on October 26th. The airport anticipates connecting travelers to 130 destinations across 46 countries, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining a broad range of travel options even outside of the summer months. According to airport officials, demand remains strong for routes to warmer climates, European cities, and connections to the Middle East and Southeastern Europe, especially for visits with family and friends.

New Routes and expanded Services

Eurowings is spearheading much of the expansion, launching first-time flights to both Dubai and Innsbruck. The Dubai route will operate three times weekly, while service to Innsbruck will be available on Fridays and Sundays. Beyond these additions, Eurowings is bolstering its winter offerings with flights to dublin, Seville (during the initial and final weeks of the schedule and around the Christmas holidays), and Warsaw. The airline is also increasing its presence on the beirut route.

The Gulf region receives significant attention during the winter months, and this year is no exception. Etihad Airways will operate daily flights to Abu Dhabi utilizing the new Airbus A321LR aircraft. Emirates will provide two daily flights to dubai, and Qatar Airways will offer ten weekly connections to Doha. These hubs serve as crucial gateways to destinations throughout Asia, Africa, and Australia.

demand for warmer climates remains high, with over 1,500 flights scheduled to the Canary Islands in the coming months. Egypt also remains a popular destination, with approximately 850 flights planned to Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, and Marsa Alam throughout the season.

Winter Sports and City Breaks

Düsseldorf Airport caters to winter sports enthusiasts with regular flights to Nordic regions, including Rovaniemi, Kittilä, Ivalo, Kuusamo, and Tromsø in northern Scandinavia – ideal locations for winter activities. TUIfly is adding Sälen-Trysil in Sweden to its offerings, while Eurowings and sky Alps will serve Innsbruck and Bolzano respectively in the Alps.

For city travelers, Düsseldorf Airport provides a dense network of European connections. Flights to London will operate over 30 times a week, Vienna 21 times, Zurich 20 times, and Paris up to 37 times.Other major cities like Rome, Madrid, and Barcelona will also be well-served, catering to both leisure and business travelers.

Beyond tourism and city breaks, the airport recognizes the importance of flights connecting individuals with family and friends. Regular services will be available to destinations such as Pristina, Tirana, Skopje, Chisinau, Bucharest, Beirut, Amman, Erbil, and numerous cities throughout Türkiye.
