The prosecutor has revealed the address of a key witness, under guard, in a document sent to a murder suspect. This was discovered by journalists of the portal Follow The Money, scrive NOS.

“This is a mistake and also very irresponsible. The prosecutor always plays the security card,” the lawyer for the repentant, Peter Schouten, told Follow The Money. “All the information that the prosecutor has leaked in this case is risky.” Witness S. had informed the police and the judiciary that he had important information on three murder cases. He allegedly received this information from suspects himself while in prison.
S. himself was not involved in the cases but he was serving a prison sentence for other crimes. In addition to protection, S. was promised three years of imprisonment less. Furthermore, he only has to return half of his criminal profits to the state.
A report by the OVV authority showed that the prosecutor’s mistakes contributed to the murders of journalist Peter R. de Vries, attorney Derk Wiersum and Reduan B., the brother of witness Nabil B.
