KVN Jayaraman hails from Anna Nagar, near Veerapandi Puthur near Mettupalayam in Coimbatore district. His wife Keerthi. Jayaraman No.4 Veerapandi was the Chairman of the Municipality from 2001 to 2016. A member of the AIADMK, he was accused of amassing excessive wealth during his tenure.
Police Inspector Latha recently lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore District Anti-Corruption Police. In it, ‘KVN Jayaraman during the last local government election held in 2011, he had a total of Rs. 1 crore to 25 lakhs. He said all these assets were in his name and in the name of his wife.
Five years later, in 2016, the value of his assets rose to Rs 3 crore 43 lakh. He said he had amassed assets worth over Rs 1 crore 45 lakh more than his income between 2011 and 2016 and the assets and jewelery had been purchased in his name and in the name of his wife.

On this, KV claimed that he had added more property to the income. Coimbatore District Anti-Corruption Police have registered a case against N. Jayaraman and his wife Keerthi under the Prevention of Corruption Act. In this situation, 5 bribery officers who came to Jayaraman’s house yesterday afternoon conducted a search of him from the afternoon.
