Dylan Horetsky: Gamers Nexus Calls Out Linus Tech Tips for Accuracy and Ethical Concerns

by time news

Tech YouTube channel Gamers Nexus has taken aim at Linus Tech Tips in their latest video, criticizing their accuracy and ethical practices. Linus Tech Tips, started by Linus Sebastian, has become hugely popular with over 15 million subscribers on their main channel. The channel has since evolved into Linus Media Group, uploading content to several different channels every week.

In the video, Gamers Nexus highlighted several accuracy issues with Linus Tech Tips’ videos. They cited an interview with LMG employees where they stated that the company’s self-imposed deadlines for videos have impacted the accuracy of test results and comments in various videos. Gamers Nexus specifically pointed out errors in GPU, PSU, CPU, and CPU cooler reviews, calling out Linus Tech Tips for adding disclaimers instead of reshooting those segments.

Steve Burke of Gamers Nexus expressed concern about the use of text corrections in videos, stating that most people won’t read them and may miss important information. He also shared ethics concerns about Linus Tech Tips’ collaborations with companies. For example, they mentioned that Linus invested a significant amount of money into laptop company Framework while continuing to favorably review their product. Gamers Nexus also claimed that Linus Tech Tips collaborates with Noctua on special projects but often overlooks issues with their products in their videos.

As of now, Linus Tech Tips has not responded to the concerns raised by Gamers Nexus. Stay tuned for updates on this story. Visit our Tech section for more coverage on the latest news in the tech world.
