New Delhi: Women’s sprinter Dyuthi Chand has been suspended after failing the doping test. He was suspended by the National Anti-Doping Committee after a sample of A was found to contain a banned anabolic steroid. Traces of Andarin, Ostarin, Ligandrol etc. were found in the urine test.
These are prohibited drug ingredients. Dyuti Chand can apply for B sample testing within seven days. If this test is positive too, strict action will be taken. Duthi’s samples were collected on December 5. Dyuti’s response is that she does not know the positive thing. Athletics Federation of India (AFI) president Adil Sumariwala also responded that he did not know.
