Campaign that E Sreedharan is being considered for the Union Cabinet
Following the election defeat, there are rumors that E Sreedharan is being considered for the post of Union Minister. It did not support Sreedharan.
E Sreedharan says he will not enter active politics
Sreedharan has made it clear that he will not enter active politics until months after the assembly elections. Sreedharan said that he had learned a lesson from the failure and that leaving active politics did not mean giving up politics altogether. I felt disappointed when I failed. But not now. Nothing can be done with an MLA. He added that the rule was not forthcoming
Criticism of the BJP
Sreedharan also criticized the BJP in Kerala for abandoning active politics. The BJP in Kerala needs corrections in many respects. Sreedharan said that change is possible only if it is rectified and only then can the BJP come to power in Kerala.
Criticism of the state government
E Sreedharan also took to the stage to criticize the state government’s Silver Line project, the K-Rail project. The project will cost Rs 64,000 crore. But when completed, it will cost at least Rs 1.1 lakh crore. Kerala will be divided with the construction of the Great Wall of China on both sides of the road. He said the work would not be completed in 5 years and would take at least 10 years.
The alignment of the path is incorrect. The Railways is opposed to the construction of a expressway parallel to the railway line from Tirur to Kasargod as it will affect the development of the railway line in the future. The 140 km route passes through paddy fields. This is not suitable for speeding. The expressway will have to be constructed underground or on poles instead of the existing track. He added that nowhere in the world are expressways built on the ground.
