E2A2 – Organization for Change: Editorial on e2a2 organization

New multinational alliances are emerging in the international arena. That is why the recent visit of Russian President Adip Putin to Iran is so much talked about. Adip Putin is said to be keen on trying to integrate countries that have been embargoed by the US. Adip Putin, who has not been out of Russia for a long time, is now making diplomatic moves against the United States in the background of his official visit to Iran.

In the last one month several important conferences of foreign federations have taken place. On the one hand, the ‘BRICS’ conference comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa and on the other hand the ‘Quad’ conference comprising the US, India, Australia and Japan are significant. In the meantime, another international organization has been formed and it has led to some creative initiatives.

Nine months ago, i.e. in October 2021, the foreign secretaries of India, Israel, the United States and the United Arab Emirates joined through video. Foreign observers referred to their dialogue as the West Asian ‘Quad’. The relationship created by the meeting of foreign secretaries at that time has now evolved into an organization called ‘E2A2’ (India, Israel, America, United Arab Emirates).

On July 14, the conference in which all four people joined the US President Josephine, the former Prime Minister of Israel, Yar Lapid, the King of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Saeed, and the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, through video, is becoming historically significant. Although these four countries are personally friendly with each other, such a merger is a somewhat unexpected twist.

India, which has avoided friendly relations with Israel for a long time, has been establishing very close relations for the past 20 years. Similarly, the Narendra Modi government has bridged the differences between India and the United Arab Emirates and made it India’s closest ally. Indo-US relations have been drastically altered by the ‘Quad’ organization. Separately, US relations with the other three countries are close. It is in this background that the ‘E2A2’ organization has been formed.

What sets it apart from other international organizations is that the ‘E2A2’ conference is one that connects yesterday’s situation, today’s reality and tomorrow’s vision. Its special feature is that the issues promoted by the ‘E2A2’ system, not just a trade alliance, a defense alliance or a regional alliance, are beyond the selfish interests of the countries concerned.

This alliance is an attempt to find solutions to important problems facing the world. ‘E2A2’ focuses on six important issues namely water resources, energy, transport, space, health and food security. Although the three countries India, United Arab Emirates and Israel are already undertaking cooperative efforts in these fields, ‘E2A2’ is the organization that has taken the initiative for coordinated implementation.

The ‘E2A2’ member countries have decided to take initiative in the above six sectors with the help of private investment, technology, expertise and modern infrastructure. The organization aims to secure food and energy sectors by encouraging investment and innovation.

The United Arab Emirates will develop integrated agricultural parks with an investment of 200 million dollars in many parts of India through the private investments of the United States and Israel. This is expected to triple India’s food production in five years. E2A2’s plan is to help the world’s food security through India’s increased food production.

Similarly, the United States is providing 33 million dollars for 300 megawatt renewable energy projects including wind and solar, and for battery production. All those projects are being developed in India. This will help India achieve its target of 500 GW of non-fossil energy generation by 2030.

Unlike other alliances, the ‘e2a2’ system with creative initiatives can make a huge difference in the transport sector as well. Investment from the UAE, technology from Israel and expertise from the US are concentrated in India. The world is going to benefit from it. It’s good…
