The most electric moment of Thursday’s session came late in practice during the first team’s final 11-on-11 rep. Quarterback Jalen Hurts rolled out left from play action, looked downfield, and launched a pass toward the left pylon.
Dontayvion Wicks sprinted at least 30 yards downfield, leaped between two defenders, and pulled in the ball for a massive completion that would have placed the Eagles deep inside the red zone. The play drew a stunned reaction from the crowd and a saluting point from Hurts.
The acquisition of Wicks follows a trade with the Green Bay Packers on April 10th, where Philadelphia sent a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick in exchange for the receiver. The Eagles also signed Wicks to a one-year contract extension worth $12.5 million, with $9 million fully guaranteed.
