(LaPresse) Famous monuments and institutional buildings with the lights off as a symbol of the fight against climate change. This is Earth hour and consists of keeping the electricity off for one hour. The initiative was born in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, and has since involved major cities around the world. The invitation is aimed at citizens and institutions who at 20.30 today simply had to endure 60 minutes of darkness. The collected images show the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, the Colosseum and Palazzo Madama in Rome, the Chhatrapati Shivaji train station in Mumbai, the ‘Nomad’ monument at the ramparts of Antibes in France.
