Azaz: The prison collapsed due to the strong earthquake in Syria the other day. With this, it is reported that 20 of the worst terrorists of ISIS who were in jail have escaped. The prison in the town of Rajo, near the Turkish border, housed 2,000 prisoners. 1300 of them were ISIS terrorists. Kurdish forces were also in prison.
Rajo was completely affected by the earthquake. Most of the buildings collapsed. The terrorists escaped during the rescue operation. Of which 20 prisoners have escaped. These are ISIS terrorists. The 7.8-magnitude earthquake also triggered several aftershocks in the region. Due to this, there was a crack in the wall and door of the jail.’- said the jail official.
Meanwhile, more than 3,800 people have lost their lives in three earthquakes within hours of devastating south-eastern Turkey and northern Syria. It is reported that the death toll will rise. 15,000 people have been injured in Turkey and Syria.
