The earthquake in Gerakas, with a magnitude of 2.1 on the Richter scale, was felt in several areas in Attica.
According to Efthymis Lekkas, who spoke to ERTNews, it is a small earthquake. “It was a very small earthquake of the order of 2.1 degrees, centered at a radius of 1 km from the Megaro ERT Radio, strongly felt because it had a very small focal depth, three to four km”, noted on the display “Connections” Mr. Lecces.
Earthquake in Gerakas: “It could be new faults”
As the expert pointed out, the earthquake was felt “in small and medium-sized structures”.
Regarding the new seismic vibration, he indicated that the area is stimulated, stressing however that it cannot give large values. “It could be new faults that bring new earthquakes,” said Mr. Lecces.
