A magnitude 6.4 earthquake shakes Kazi Castle in the province of Hormozgan in Iran: the quake occurred about an hour ago (16 pm, Iran time), and a pit opened at a depth of 10 km.
One person has been killed so far in the quake.
Head of the Red Crescent Rescue Organization: “One person died as a result of a magnitude 6.4 earthquake in the south of the country, due to the fall of a power pole. So far no significant damage has been reported.
According to the chairman of the Lufthansa council, the houses were not damaged and there is only psychological harm and fear among the people, who are trying to control it by deploying aid forces.
Residents were evacuated from their homes
Rescuers were sent to the scene and are on full alert.
Governor Hormozgan: “Necessary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of the people who have left their homes. Sports halls are prepared to accommodate those who plan to spend the night outside.”
All medical staff in the district were called to medical centers.
