Mayor Pozzuoli: “No damage but not very calm due to shocks”
“There is no damage, we are in the ordinary phase of bradyseism on yellow alert, I stick to the institutional channels, there are scientific and technical data from the relevant bodies that we respect”, the mayor of Pozzuoli, Luigi, told Adnkronos Manzoni, after the new seismic swarm. “The planned activities that led to the adoption of the Campi Flegrei law decree are progressing in synergy between the government, civil protection and local authorities, soon there will also be exercises for risk mitigation,” said the mayor of Pozzuoli.
“Until a few days ago the population was calmer, certainly the repeated earthquakes with significant magnitudes in the last few hours do not make people feel calm – he further explained – As an administration we are providing information, we always explain the truth and the more we communicate, the more they are calm compared to the ‘absence of information’.
The last seismic swarm in the area dates back to last Sunday, 14 April, with the tremors also felt in some neighborhoods of Naples such as Vomero, Chiaia and Fuorigrotta, Pianura, Soccavo as reported by the Vesuvian Observatory, the Neapolitan headquarters of the INGV, which there was talk of around 25 tremors from 9.35 in the morning with magnitudes between 3.1 and 3.7.
