Earth’s water existed before the sun, what is behind the new discovery of the scientific world?

The new discovery of the world of science is that water on earth is older than the sun. The crucial information was obtained by the international research team from observing the young star V883 Orionis in the Orion constellation. Chemical indicators of heavy water, which is about 10 percent thicker than water, were obtained from the gas and dust surrounding the star. A study published in the journal Nature claims that the missing link in the answer to the question of where Earth’s water came from has now been found.

Now we can understand that the water on our earth existed before the sun rose. “The composition of the solid water found in V883 Orionis is similar to the composition of water in meteors in our own constellation,” explains John J. Tobin, an astrophysicist at the US National Radio Astronomy Observatory.

Researchers used the Atacama Large Millimeter-Submillimeter Array, a constellation of 66 radio telescopes located in Chile’s Atacama Desert, to observe V883 Orionis. This star is 1300 light years away from Earth. V883 Orionis is now a young star in the process of forming planets orbiting the star. Planets form from the surrounding gas dust ring. The presence of solid water was identified from this area.

The outer disk of V883 Orionis contained dense water in thick form. Therefore, the observation systems from the ground did not get the information about it. But as the temperature inside the V883 increased, the water in the outer ring turned into a gas. With this, the researchers were able to identify the chemical indicators of solid water. V883 Orionis’ disk is estimated to contain 1,200 times as much water as Earth.

Hard water is water with high levels of deuterium, an isotope of hydrogen. The atomic weight of deuterium is greater than that of ordinary hydrogen. Solid water is created only when hydrogen, deuterium and oxygen molecules have enough energy to combine. In normal water on our earth, the number of solid water molecules is 1 in 3200.

Even if water on Earth is found to be older than the Sun, it is not certain where it came from. Some believe that some asteroids or meteors from outside our Milky Way may have brought the water to the Sun. A missing link in the search for the source of water on Earth has now been found by V883 Orionis. But the search for a definitive answer to the question of where the water came from will continue.
