The Board of Directors of Eastland Insurance Company Limited, a company listed in the insurance sector in the capital market, has published the unaudited financial report for the second quarter (April-June, 2024) and half-yearly (January-June, 2024) of the current financial year. According to published reports, the profit of the company has decreased in the current half-yearly quarter.

On Thursday (July 25), the Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE) informed this information.

According to the data, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) for the second quarter of the current financial year was Tk 0.27. In the corresponding period of the previous financial year, the company’s EPS was Rs.0.41. Accordingly, the company’s EPS or profit per share decreased by Tk 0.27 or 34 percent in the quarter under discussion.

Meanwhile, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) for the six months or half-yearly quarter of the current financial year has been Tk 0.55. In the corresponding period of the previous financial year, the company’s EPS was Rs.0.78. As such, the company’s EPS or profit per share has decreased by Tk 0.23 or 29 percent in the current quarter.

As on June 30, 2024, the company’s consolidated net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk 20.85.
