The strike called by the cabin crew of the airline (TCP) of the airline easyJet has left this Sunday the cancellation of 13 flights and delays in 18 morewith special emphasis on Barcelona-El Prat Airport, according to information provided by the USO union. They have been suspended until 1 p.m. eight flights to the Catalan airport –The return operations to Geneva, Bristol, Naples and Milan Malpensa–, and have been registered four delays in departures and others in arrivals.
The Secretary General of USO-easyJet in Barcelona, Pier Luigi Copellorated the sixth day of strike in the airline and highlighted the “success” of the call at El Prat airport. Copello stressed that workers are beginning to notice the “approach” by the company, a change of posture which they receive “very positively,” as he indicated in a recorded statement circulated to the media.
The flight attendants of the airline protest that the negotiation of the II Collective Agreement is in a situation of blocking by the company with the call for a nine-day strike. The stops began on July 2 and 3, continued from Friday 15 to this Sunday and will last on July 29, 30 and 31 at the airports of Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca and Malaga which are the company’s only three airports based in Spain.
In addition to flights to Barcelona, the following have also been canceled: Palma de Mallorca-Berlin, Palma de Mallorca-Naples, Berlin-Palma de Mallorca, Naples-Palma de Mallorca, and Malaga-Paris. While in the delays, the airport Palma has had three delays in departures and four in arrivalsand that of Malaga two and one, respectively.
