The Eaton company brought to Israel the company’s mobile data center, xModular, which makes it possible to simplify the complex process of planning and building a server farm. The facility includes computer cabinets, air conditioning systems, fire detection, smoke and fire extinguishing systems, electrical panels, energy control measures, uninterruptible power systems (UPS) and air or water cooling systems, as needed.
CEO of Eaton Israel, Ofir Goren, said that there is a very large increase in the scope of cloud services provided in Israel. “The process of moving to the cloud has reached an unprecedented scale. However, there are companies that find it difficult to benefit from it because of the nature of their activities, such as project and production companies that are in a different place every week. The xModular solution gives them full access to cloud computing through a mobile IT infrastructure.”
The Eaton company specializes in energy management solutions and services in many markets: energy storage and electrical charging, control and automation, low voltage switching (formerly Moeller), high voltage panels, UPS solutions for computer rooms and server farms (Data Center) and more. The company employs about 85,000 people worldwide, and in 2022 its sales amounted to about 20.8 billion dollars. Today it is traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange according to a market value of approximately 65.4 billion dollars.
