It has been decided at the all party meeting to hold a two day debate in the Sri Lankan Parliament.
Due to the economic crisis in Sri Lanka, the prices of essential commodities such as food and medicine have gone up. The economy of the people has also been severely affected by the rise in petrol and diesel prices. Thus the natives are waging a struggle against the Sri Lankan government.
In this context, an all party meeting was held today under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and Leader of the Opposition Sajid Premadasa have also been consulted. At the end of the meeting it was decided to hold a two day debate in Parliament on the current economic crisis in Sri Lanka. Accordingly, it has been stated that a debate on this will be held in the Sri Lankan Parliament tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
