Executives and diplomats followed café+co’s call and cracked the 400,000 euro donation mark

Fügen/Vienna (OTS) – The picturesque backdrop of the Zillertal became the setting for café+co’s 13th economic hike this weekend in Fügen. The traditional event attracted around 280 executives and diplomats, for whom, in addition to networking, the charitable idea was the main focus. This year’s café+co business hike exceeded the 400,000 euro mark. The donations go to “Network Tirol helps” and – since last year – the “Zillertalers help Zillertalers” initiative. A special thank you goes to the partners of the economic hike: the Spieljochbahn, the Schwaz Chamber of Commerce, the Tyrol Industrialists’ Association, the tourism association “First Holiday Region in the Zillertal – Fügen-Kaltenbach” and “CASH – Das Handelsmagazin”. With their support, they make a significant contribution to the realization of the café+co economic migration.

Hiking for a good cause

Since the first economic hike in 2010, donations have been collected for the charitable cause. The café+co economic hike is a success story, as the donation check gallery showed at the festive kick-off in Fügen on Friday. With the donations from this year’s hike, the total grew to over 400,000 euros. “I would like to thank everyone who accompanied us on this remarkable tour. Together we not only climbed mountains, but also made an important contribution to the lives of those who need it most,” says Fritz Kaltenegger, spokesman for the management of café+co.

The final donation amount for the economic hike for 2023 will be announced in December when the donations are handed over to Governor Anton Mattle. “Tyrol inspires with its breathtaking panorama, but also with the fact that we tackle things together and support each other. The café+co business hike combines this with exchange and networking with one another. It is really impressive what has been achieved with this event in recent years,” said Tyrol’s Governor Anton Mattle. “I would like to thank everyone who helps others with their donations.”

An impressive natural experience

On Saturday, the participants of the café+co business hike immersed themselves in the mountains of the Zillertal Alps: After the “ascent” with the Spieljochbahn, the 8 km long circular hike began. Surrounded by an impressive panorama, Pastor Erwin Gerst celebrated a mountain mass before we went to the mountain restaurant “Mountain Loft” for a cozy end.

Together on the mountain pasture
