Economic inclusion of young people: 56 INDH projects validated in Meknes

The leaders of these projects, which are part of axis 2 of the “support for youth entrepreneurship” program, benefited from support and training within the “Meknès-Zaytouna Youth Platform”, created by the INDH with the aim of facilitating access to the initiative’s programs, particularly for the benefit of leaders of innovative projects.

Speaking on this occasion, the governor of the prefecture of Meknes, Abdelghani Sabbar stressed the importance given by the INDH to improving the income and economic inclusion of young people, adding that through its axis “support for entrepreneurship among young people”, the initiative provides young people with an alternative to set up their businesses and have a stable income.

Mr. Sabbar invited the members of the provincial committee for human development and the authorities to work towards the diversification of projects and to open up more to young people in all the municipalities under the prefecture of Meknes.

These projects are part of the implementation of the “Income improvement and economic inclusion of young people” program of the third phase of the INDH, Abdelmalek Abdelhabib, head of the Social Action Division (DAS) of the prefecture of Meknes, told MAP, adding that this is the third meeting of the CPDH of Meknes this year.

After stressing that this meeting was an opportunity to examine the 56 projects registered within the framework of the axis of support for entrepreneurship among young people of the program relating to the inclusion of young people, Mr. Abdelhabib specified that the total amount of these operations is around 6 million DH (MDH) including a contribution from the INDH of nearly 5 MDH.

This third meeting of the CPDH is intended to consolidate the achievements and projects approved during the previous meetings, he noted, noting that within the framework of these three meetings, a total of 11 MDH were mobilized for the realization of the approved projects.

Other projects will be validated at the next meeting scheduled for next September and which are currently being studied by the technical committee under the provincial economic development commission, according to the same official.

The projects validated by the committee, as part of its third meeting for the current year, affected different sectors of crafts, hairdressing, services, pastry, events, butchery, aesthetics and digital printing.
