Ecuador grew 5.58% in banana exports |

Ecuador accumulated exports of 275 million boxes of bananas between January and September 2023, which represents an increase of 5.58% compared to the same period of the previous year.

According to Association of Banana Exporters of Ecuador (Aebe), the European Union continues to be the main destination for these exports, closely followed by Russia. However, negative variations were recorded in exports to Eastern Europe, Efta Europe and the Middle East.

The Port of Guayaquil led exports with 177.90 million boxes, followed by the Port of Bolívar and the Port of Posorja. Among brands, Dole led with 29.28 million cases.
